All you need to know about the upcoming Moto X (2016)

A Geekbench benchmark test result shared by Mobipicker has pointed to the fact of the Moto X running a Snapdragon 820 SoC processor. Moto X is the upcoming smartphone under the X series of Lenovo’s Moto (earlier Motorola). A number of rumors including leaked images of the Moto X (2016) or Moto X3 have been doing the rounds in the online world in the recent past.

Listed as Motorola XT1650 on Mobipicker, Moto X will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It is also believed to have a fingerprint scanner. It will sport a 5-inch display and if the leaked images are to be believed, the fingerprint sensor will be placed under the display. The concept of a fingerprint scanner has been introduced for the first time in the Moto phones. Under the hood, the smartphone will have a 1.5 GHz Snapdragon 820 SoC processor coupled with a 4 Gb of RAM. Support for USB Type-C will also be available for this device. The Geekbench Benchmark tests have been producing quality predictions in the past and most likely will be very accurate in terms of the Moto X (2016) too. Reportedly, it may be launched months after the Moto G4 and G4 Plus are launched on June 9 this year.
