Huawei launches two new 4G smartphones, eyes 300% increase in sales in India

The Chinese smartphone giant Huawei has launched two new smartphones under the Honor brand and is expecting to grow its sales figures in the Indian smartphone market by up to 300%. This is to be noted that Huawei has performed considerably good in India and has sold over one million smartphones in 2015 that included 8,00,000 Honor branded phones. On a global scale, the company shipped 108 million smartphones in the last year and became the third largest seller coming only after Apple and Samsung that held the 1st and 2nd spots respectively.

The company is now eyeing to up the ante and in a statement by the Huawei India President of Consumer Business Group Allen Wang, the company expects a large number of feature phone owners to convert to smartphones this year and this is where they would like to concentrate. They are looking for over a 300% smartphone sales in India for the different Huawei smartphones consisting majorly of the Honor brands.

Huawei has a number of new smartphones under its sleeves that it is planning to deploy this year into the Indian smartphone market to bank upon the conversions of the users and reach to its financial goals. Recently, it launched the Holly 2 Plus 4G smartphone for just Rs 8,499 and also came out with its first metallic Honor smartphone, the Honor 5X.
