Even though the financial reports show overall profit, and that too not a small one, Apple is worried about the sales of its major product, the iPhone, in the days to come. Apple has recently released the quarterly results for the 1st quarter of the fiscal year 2016 and the results have got many experts thinking.
Apple CEO Tim Cook indicated the company’s concern over the falling sales of the iPhones when he stated “We do think that iPhone units will decline in the quarter.” As per records, even though the reports show spectacular results, the fact is otherwise and Apple has clear hints that that iPhone sale is taking a toll. It is but obvious from the fact that the year-on-year profits for Apple are seeing decay.
For the time being, the upcoming model iPhone 5SE may prove to be a life saver for Apple, but we don’t think that is a long term projection. Sure it will help increase the overall sales and leave an impact on the financial results of the next few quarters, but it will not go all the way to the future. In order to survive in the longer run, Apple has always been active and would continue to experiment with its products to provide better experience to the buyers. Perhaps, now is the time for them to come out with a new product in the market.
