In a move that appears to challenge the likes of PayTM, MobiKwik, FreeCharge and Apple Pay in terms of digital payments, Micromax is coming out with a revolutionary digital wallet from upcoming January. This mobile wallet would be native to Micromax smartphones and would be able to process transactions seamlessly.
In an attempt to cash in the opportunity at the right time when the Indian consumers are into digital wallets, Micromax, in a partnership with TranServ, is planning to launch a mobile wallet that would be pre-installed in the smartphones that are launched next month, and the older smartphones will get it as a software update.
The greatest thing about this digital wallet would be the fact that besides adding in money from debit cards, credit cards and net banking, users would also be able to do so from an authorized Micromax outlet. Not only that, this digital wallet will come with a physical VISA card that will enable offline transactions to various merchants where a digital wallet would not have served the purpose. Great! Isn’t it?
The company has plans to facilitate everything from micro-payments to micro-loans and individual to individual money transfers along with e-commerce transactions and utility payments. Micromax ensure the service will keep improving and updating as per the requirements and demands of the consumers for whom all this is about.
