The smartphone that had kept a large portion of the gadget lovers waiting for some time now has been launched in India recently. Xiaomi announced the arrival of its flagship, the Xiaomi Mi 5 in a press event in Delhi today. The phone will go on sale from the 6th of this month. Tech2 has revealed many details in its recent tweets including the color options and important specs.
Xiaomi Mi 5 that will go out for sale from the coming Wednesday will have 3 GB RAM and 32 GB in-built memory and would be available for grabs at a price of just Rs. 24,999. This would also mean that India would be the first market after China to receive this product. Xiaomi is also offering its accidental damage protection plan, the ‘Xiaomi Mi protect’ at a price of Rs. 499 for a year.
Xiaomi Mi5 has a 5.15 inch Full HD display with 428 ppi pixel density. It comes packed with a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset with the custom Kryo cores. An Adreno 530 GPU will be in-charge of the graphics. A lot of other features are common with the Mi Note series. It also has a fingerprint scanner in the front. The main and front cameras are 16 MP and 4 MP respectively with an aperture of f/2.0 in both. 4G support is present along with other latest connectivity features. The battery capacity is impressive at 3,000 mAh.
