Asus ZenFone 3, the upcoming generation of the ZenFone series is expected to release by the May of 2016. Among other speculations, the ZenFone 3 is rumoured to sport a fingerprint sensor making it the first among the series to have such a technology.
Taiwan-based Elan Microelectronics and China-based Goodix are supposed to be the helping hands in the company’s effort to integrate fingerprint recognition solutions into its smartphones. This, if realized, will be a welcome move for the company and the customers.
By 2016, Asus plans to expand its boundaries in a few more countries including Bangladesh, Cambodia, Egypt, Myanmar and Nigeria so as to boost the sales of its smartphones. As per a report, the company is planning to ship at least 30 million smartphone units in the year 2016 alone.
One more addition to the ZenFone series is the Type C USB port in the upcoming variant of the smartphone. Previously, Type C couldn’t be incorporated in the Asus ZenFone 2 owing to the cost factors, but the ZenFone 3 seems to have taken care of the issues. If rumors are to be believed, there are a number of other fascinating features in the upcoming model and it is supposed to be a great option for the customers who want quality and performance in a limited budget.
